During a 6 year hiatus from touring, Jeremy has built a recording studio, launched a foray into filmmaking, and has taken time to create a solid foundation from which to release his music independently. He lives in his home town of Portland, OR.
He is now in rehearsals with guitarist Sam Densmore, drummer Ezra Holbrook and bassist Aaron Masonek and playing live shows around the NW.

THE NEXT SOLO ALBUM
HONEY/MOON/LIFE tells the story of two lovers Simon and Shadow who are both lost in a shared delusion. Their intense story is told in the albums' 13 songs. With the rhythm section of drummer Ezra Holbrook (Dr Theopolis, Decemberists) and bassist Aaron Masonek (Dr Theopolis), and guest performers Sam and John Densmore (Silverhawk), Eric Lovre (Big T, Dharma Bums), John Cluff (engineer, co-producer) and others, HONEY/MOON/LIFE is a powerful album of focused and fully realized works of neo-folk, rock and psychedelia that will take you along on the sad and courageous journey of the tales of two tragically haunted characters. BIO
Jeremy Wilson is a singer, songwriter, musician, and producer. He is perhaps most well known for his work in his past bands, Pilot and Dharma Bums.
Born in Detroit in 1968, Jeremy by way of North Carolina moved to Oregon in 1976. He started playing music at the age of 5 and by 14, as a member of the teen sensation band The Watchmen, was jamming weekly in front of growing crowds at bars, grange halls, high school dances, teen clubs and parties throughout the Willamette Valley of Oregon. With an early repertoire of over 250 cover and original songs, the Watchmen made early reel-to-reel 2-track recordings from their practice space at guitar/singer Eric Lovre's dad's farm. They also recorded a single JOHNNY NORMAL, engineered by musician and producer Brian Berg (44 Long) in 1984.
In 1985 JW formed Perfect Circle after everyone else in the Watchmen graduated from high school and he still had two more years to go. Perfect Circle played beautiful all original music to large audiences that was heavily inspired by bands such as R.E.M., The Velvet Underground, Jesus and Marychain, the Replacements and also by bands like the Miracle Workers from Portland, Oregon. The first shows Jeremy played in Portland was at the age of 17 when opening for great local bands like the Miracle Workers and the Rifle Birds at places like the now famous Satyricon and the long since gone Pyramid Club. Perfect Circle played fast and passionately and John Moen (drummer - John now plays for the Decemberists) and Jeremy honed their dual vocal technique first in Perfect Circle before taking it to the Dharma Bums.
In 1986 the Watchmen basically reformed and emerged in Portland as the Dharma Bums, and by 1987 were signed to PopLlama Records out of Seattle. Shortly after the release of their first album HAYWIRE, the band was picked up by the well known LA indie label Frontier Records and put out two more albums, BLISS (1990) and WELCOME (1992), and multiple singles, compilation records, and music videos, all to international acclaim.
After almost ten solid years of making music and nationional/European touring with the Dharma Bums, the band broke up in 1993 and Jeremy decided to go to Costa Rica for three months to figure out what to do next. He ended up writing 65 new songs there in a creative outpouring. Later that year, Jeremy discovered the band Heatmiser for Frontier Records and worked with the young Elliott Smith and the band on their first album, Dead Air (1993).
In 1994, with nearly 100 new songs to work with, Jeremy formed the band Pilot and released the FORK FOR A TONGUE EP produced by Tony Lash, (former drummer/engineer/producer of Heatmiser) for Portland indie label T/K Records. At that time Jeremy signed a publishing deal with Sony Music and a record deal with major label Elektra Records.
Working with mentor and producer Joe Chicarelli (Weezer, Frank Zappa, Tori Amos, Boston), Jeremy recorded the epic album HISS (1995) that ended up never seeing the light of day when Time Warner acquired Ted Turner Entertainment. The album was one of many things cut in the acquisition process. Undeterred, Jeremy borrowed funds and made the critically hailed Pilot album WHEN THE DAY HAS BROKEN (1996), and the single "Belong" received considerable airtime nationwide on commercial radio stations. The album was licensed to T/K Records.
In 1997 Pilot signed to major label Mercury Records and released STRANGERS WALTZ (1998) produced by long time friend and studio owner Barrett Jones (Presidents of The United States, Foo Fighters). Shortly after the release of Strangers Waltz and after years of touring with Pilot, another corporate buyout occurred, this time between Seagrams and Polygram. Everyone at Mercury Records, from the president to the mail room staff, was laid off. No longer connected to anyone at the label, Jeremy asked to be released from his Mercury contract in 1999, disbanded Pilot, and formed his independent music company MastanMusic in 2000.
In 2001 with studio partner John Cluff, and while working with the late pianist Raphael Rudd, Jeremy produced and mastered the album THE OCEANIC CONCERTS (2001 Rhino Records). An album digitized and edited from cassette tapes, the album's track selections came from two bootlegged concerts given by Pete Townshend and Raphael Rudd around 1980 in London. The record is filled with tremendous acoustic renditions of some of Pete's most famous songs. With the full support of Pete Townshend the album has sold more than 80,000 copies, with much of the proceeds going to help support a rural hospital in India.
In 2002 Jeremy played on, recorded, produced and released MastanMusic Label's first album SUBLIMATION (2002) for local folk laureate song-writer Lew Jones. At the same time, Jeremy started work on the now up and running analog/digital MastanMusic Recording studio, based in Portland, OR. The studio is on the web at http://www.mastanmusic.com.
