Portland's self-described "outlaw" country/rock outfit The Dry County Crooks join us for part 2 of Episode 36 of the MastanMusic Hour to preview songs from their upcoming release "When Hearts Break" (MastanMusic Label).

Mercy Corps Benefit Concert Series to Alleviate Crisis in Uganda.
On Saturday November 10, Jeremy Wilson and Sam Densmore join the fundraising efforts for this humanitarian organization. They'll play alongside notable local songwriters Morgan Grace, Little Sue, Linda Hornbuckle, Tom Grant, Lael Alderman, Susie Blue, Jaycob Van Auken, Pilar French, Breanna Paletta and Michael Jodell at The Mission Theater. This show, billed as Songwriter's Night, is one of many such fundraising events taking place during the months of October and November. songwriter at the Mercy Corps Benefit Concert Series to Alleviate Crisis in Uganda on
Nov. 10, 2007. MastanMusic Hour co- host Sam Densmore will accompany Jeremy on guitar and harmony vocals.
This special exclusive recording of "Unnatural Light" gives a preview of what they will perform together at the show.
All proceeds from this concert will benefit victims of the crisis in Uganda.

was the fourth guest on our show. Their live acoustic performance was so good, Jeremy and Sam decided to invite them
in to the MastanMusic Studio to record this exclusive single, "20 White Spiders" featuring their full, electric line up.
This track is a thick slice of analog alt-rock rhythm, topped off with Jeff Buckley inspired vocals.

Longtime Portland resident Lew Jones is known for his folk rock song writing and
excellent guitar playing. Lew was a guest on the
MastanMusic Hour Episode 20.
Often borrowing from the jazz genre, he played and sang some beautiful and trippy songs for us.
He also told some great stories about what's inspired him over the years as a writer and musician.
Lew's MastanMusic release "Sublimation" (2001) was produced by Jeremy Wilson
and John Cluff, and is available now at The MastanMusic Label store

Join us for Episode 36 pt 2 of the Mastan Music Hour. Live guest this week is The Dry County Crooks.
Dry County Crooks are the featured artists in this Episode 36 of the MastanMusic Hour. Familiar sounds, comparable to Johnny Cash mixed with the bold punk rock stylings of groups like Bad Religion and Social Distortion make up a good portion of their set. They take great pride in being a real working band, exhaustively touring and playing sold-out shows throughout the region. These hard-working gents are gearing up to debut their MastanMusic Label release "When Hearts Break", their first album since 2005.
Having just completed their new recording, we decided the timing was right to have them in for a featured live spot on
the MastanMusic Hour. Don't forget to come to the
