Will West "Shine" from the CD
Shine |
Will West is a "Carolina born" songwriter, now based in Portland, OR. He plays acoustic blues and folk and maintains a positive attitude, finding inspiration in the challenges of life. He keeps a busy schedule playing around Portland and has been known to pack up his dog and his guitar to hit the road for occasional tours of both American coasts.
Find out more about his new his new CD "Shine" (produced by Rob Stroup at 8 Ball Studio) at www.willwestmusic.com

Elliot King "Track 2" from the CD
Jeremy Wilson Mix |
We are are completely stoked to introduce to you Elliot King. Originally from Salem, Elliot is now living and breathing in Portland and is a talented multi instrumentalist, vocalist and songwriter. He writes songs in a variety of different styles that range from lo-fi folk to tripped out psychedelic reverb soaked goth. He is currently working on new recordings at his personal studio. Here more of Elliot at myspace.com/elliotkingmusic.

Branden Daniel and Everybody Gets Laid "Lay Low"
from the CD
Back Down EP |
A true Pacific Northwest band with members from Seattle and Portland, Branden Daniel and Everybody Gets Laid are a sex charged rock n roll extravaganza. With Branden's electric glam-blues licks filling up the air, it's easy to imagine a club filled with rocker girls and dudes in leather getting their groove on to this music.
Produced by Brian Jonestown Massacre bassist Collin Hegna, their EP "Back Down" was recorded in Portland at Revolver Studios.
|
Two Cow Garage "Come Back To Shelby" from the CD
Three |
From Columbus, Ohio, rockers Two Cow Garage released "III", their third full-length offering, April 24, 2007 on Shelterhouse Records. In the past five years Two Cow Garage have played more than 1000 shows. They consider their new CD to be their "darkest, yet most rewarding record to date", The songs have to do with coming of age in a rock n roll band, politics, and of course, girl trouble.
Get more information about band members Micah Schnabel (guitar/vocals), Shane Sweeney (bass/vocals) Dustin Harigle (drums) at myspace.com/twocowgarage.
|
Truckee Brothers "Formula O" from the CD
Double Happiness |
From San Diego, California come the Truckee Brothers. Their brand of vocal and guitar heavy rock is gaining them respect from some heavy weight fans and supporters as diverse as Mike Watt and Lucinda Williams. Following the Aug 7 release of their new CD "Double Happiness" they'll be sharing tour dates with Mike Watt, Flaming Lips and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. Keep an eye on these guys and check out their website www.truckeebrothers.com to see when they might come to your town.
|
Heise Bros. "Zodiac" from the CD
the continueing saga of... |
Sighting Kinks, Velvet Underground and the Stones as influences, HeiseBros actually make good on those assertions in their recordings. Classic British style guitars and melodic vocals are the focal points while the music floats along, providing a druggy, hazy musical cloud as a backdrop. The Heise Bros. are from columbus Ohio and work with a bevy of talented musicians from their local music scene to make their songs come to life. We welcome the Heise Bros back for their second spin on The MastanMusic Hour.
|
Brent Amaker and the Rodeo "Sissy New Age Cowboy" from the CD
Brent Amaker and the Rodeo |
Wearing masks and sporting black from head to toe, Brent Amaker and the Rodeo play old time style country music plain and simple. B.A.R don't much care what critics have to say about them and their aesthetic decisions. In their myspace page bio, they include this statement, as much a proclamation as a defense, "So what if most of their songs sound like a cover of "Fulsom Prison Blues"? So what if they are all written in the same key? Originality is not the point; it's beer-swillin', foot tappin', shit kickin' country and western, and it's an homage what we are so desperately missing around here: a couple of well-slung balls in the horse saddle."
B.A.R are headed to Europe for a September tour including dates in Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands. Based in Seattle, You can catch them in Portland with Herman Jolly at the Ash Street Saloon in Portland on Saturday, Aug 18.

| Titans Of Oblivion |

The Titans Of Oblivion are an upcoming rock band from Portland touring all over the Northwest these days. This 4 piece has been playing around Oregon, Idaho, California and Washington for over a year now and serving up some serious rock.
We had a great time recording this powerful rock foursome. Their sound is an homage to 70s riff rock Gods; Black Sabbath, AC/DC and Led Zeppelin. The Titans are heavy and groovy, catchy but never sugary, and always sweating it out with reckless abandon on stage.
Titans Of Oblivian are:
Ron Wesley - Guitar
Phil Austin - Bass
Ryan Moore - Drums
Steven Szwaja - Vocals
Check out these upcoming shows:
AUG 23rd - Blue Moon tavern (Seattle, Wa.)
SEPT 1st - The Doll Hut (Anaheim, Cal.)
SEPT 2nd - Tim Festival (Anaheim, Cal.)
SEPT 5th - Berbatis Pan w/ Rose Hill Drive (Portland, OR)
