Delano strayed from their psychedelic jam band roots, made a few changes in their lineup, and on the verge of releasing their first full album entitled Scapegoat Fiction (recorded and mixed right here at Mastan Music)have emerged with a fully realized vision and sound deserving of attention. Delano has successfully amalgamated rock, pop, and electro into an album that is nothing short of epic. With grateful nods to past and current artists, the band has put together a group of songs that not only seek to be musically relevant, but socially conscious as well.
Part One of Episode 7 includes Portland institutions Thrillbilly, Lael Alderman and Fernando, newcomers WNDRKND and Thin White Rope, as well as the gifted singer/songwriter Stephen Ashbrook

Episode 7 Part 1 of MastanMusic Hour features some of the diverse sounds that helped to garner Portland's reputation as a mecca for music. First up we've got Thrillbilly whose raucous punk-meets-country sound began earning them a following a decade ago. Then we introduce you to the melodic indie-rock of former Geffen recording artist, talented singer-songwriter, Lael Alderman.
During the past twelve years in which Argentina-born Fernando has called Portland home, his sound has melded his latin roots with rock, R&B and the distinctive country tinged Americana that has helped put Portland on the musical map.
And we're excited to introduce you to some new music too. We had a band personally drop by a cd which we think you ought to hear. WNDRKND is the vanity project of Aghastus von Latimer-Dorney III whose aspiration with WNDRKND is to make drug music for squares.
