Silverhawk featuring Sam and John C. Densmore
Westward CD
Blue Eyed Crow Music Label
2004
$ 10.00
"Westward", released in 2004 on the BEC music label is the debut full length national release from Silverhawk. "Westward" is Psychedelic Americana featuring effects heavy baritone guitar and dark lyrical imagery. The album has been aptly described as "Pavement meets Johnny Cash" (Music Emissions, 2005) and "Twisted alt-country. Earthy, real, irresistable. Great songs I could listen to forever, and then some...." (Hybrid Magazine, 2004). Out in the woods of the Oregon Coast at their project studio, The Densmore Bros recorded and mixed it themselves, utilizing 1/4" 8 track tape and Pro Tools.
"These are dark, bluesy songs of the night, cast with just a hint of pioneer wanderlust. Indie rock for a new generation, really. And that's a very good thing, indeed". Aiding and Abetting, 2004
Sam Densmore's Silerhawk
Flowers In June EP CD
Recollections of the broken times...
Label: Pop Sweatshop
2000
$ 5.00
Before there was Silverhawk, and even before there was Sam and John C. Densmore's Silverhawk, there was Sam Densmore's Silverhawk. Silverhawk has turned into a great group of 5 dedicated members, but in the beginning it was Sam's original vision. This beautifully recorded 4-song EP is a must have.
